Welcome to FPA Charlotte
The Financial Planning Association (FPA) is the membership association for nearly 30,000 Certified Financial Planner professionals, financial planners, specialist and organizations dedicated to enhancing and promoting the financial planning process. The Charlotte Chapter is one of 100 chapters nationwide that form the backbone of the FPA and attract the best in the financial planning community.

Our Chapter's Mission is to "Advance the financial planning profession by providing education, interaction and leadership for the Financial Planning Community and the Public it serves, in accordance with the Certified Financial Planner Board's Code of Professional Standards".

The FPA of Charlotte offers educational and professional enhancement programs and forums for all Financial Planning Professionals. Monthly Luncheons are held at the Myers Park Country Club, 2415 Roswell Avenue, Charlotte, NC. The schedule for programs and events for 2008 is posted on the Events Page. The Annual Symposium and Sponsor Expo is an 1 1/2 day educational seminar with nationally known speakers and corporate sponsor / partner exhibitions. In 2008, the Symposium and Sponsor Expo was held for 234 attendees on August 27-28 at the Charlotte Marriott Executive Park Hotel.

2007 was the seventh consecutive year the Chapter has been awarded the GOLD LEVEL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD for Chapter Excellence from the National Association. The Chapter also received the Pinnacle Award for being one of only six Chapters nationally to have achieved the Gold Level Award since it's inception in 2000. This level of service to the members and public in the area Charlotte metro area is a direct reflection of the support the Chapter receives from it's valued SPONSOR/PARTNERS and the 425+ financial professionals who comprise the membership of the chapter..
